Though I would post in this section now as I finally got my Octy vRS.

After a couple of year admiring the spectacle that is the Octavia vRS my circumstances changed resulting in the purchase. Offered the choice of a company Vectra diesel or a car allowance with my new job enabled me to opt for the Skoda. Nice to see that people are still buying the Octy, most of our newer members seem to be Furby owners !

At last I can welcome a new Octy vRS owner!

Advice:

1. Get the seats (silver mesh part) and the grey carpets protected with scotchguard or similar upholstery protectant. They are difficult to keep clean otherwise.

2. Search the different forums in here for some handy tips, and advice. I wish I had read more of them when my vRS was new.

3. Enjoy the experience! It still puts a smile on my face arter two years and 40k ownership.... the novelty of a new car normally wears off me after a year.... but not with the vRS.

That sounds very cheap including those extras as well Since the demise of the vRS I've been thinking about new cars, current favorite is a civic type-r but for that price a new Octy could be in the frame.
