LE vRS

Featured Replies

There have been quite a few recent posts about the LE vRS, with opinion divided about whether it looks good or not. My own view is that the seats and new dashboard look good, but Skoda could have done more. This got me thinking.

Is the LE just for the UK market? i.e. are all 500 units coming to the UK?

If so, surely Skoda are making LE models for other countries also. Would make perfect sense. If that's the case, does anybody know whether these differ from the UK LE cars. Have Skoda designed our LE model specifically for the UK and designed an 'alternative' LE spec for other countries. Would be nice to see one if they have.

I think Skoda UK have decided what the LE has on it. The cars come into the country as standard vRSs and then get new wheels and leather.

Def no LE offered in Australia at the moment.

Don't think we will see it down here.

Wouldn't bother with this variant. It looks as if SUK have a glut of Vrs's and they are trying to shift them by adding a few toys.......

Errr, no!

The standard vRS isn't available in Anthracite Grey. I think Skoda UK ordered these cars specifically to convert to LE spec, otherwise they'd be available in other colours.

He could still be correct. Perhaps Skoda have a load of spare parts and chasis etc. It wouldn't take much to assemble them and then spray them a 'special' colour. It's common knowledge that 'ltd edition' cars generally come along to help shift cars at the end of their life cycle or when they generally aren't selling well.

You can specify Anthracite Grey for a vRS on the car configurator on the Skoda UK website. As you know, it wouldn't be my preference though

Aye, you can specify it on the configurator, but not on the actual ordering system.

Maybe, bet he did specify SUK and not just Skoda.

Very clever!

Does that mean there will potentially be 500 sets of Zeniths and 500 standard vRS interiors floating about in the country then - if so how much would a set of Zeniths cost ?

There's a member here with a standard VRS, in anthracite.

So how did fireftrm manage to get one?

Saw one this week - the Grey doesn't look special, and the wheels are crap.

Leathers are nice mind.

Apparently I was told that there is 600 Anthracite Grey vRS Sokda produced on the production line... 500 of these are LE`s with the others spare. I have seen them as 4No. are on the forecourt at my local dealer, they are quicker to get than than the LE`s due to the work that has to be done to them seats etc...............So if you like the colour on a standard vRS be quick because only certain dealers will be able to get hold of them.

To clarify,

Dealers cannot order standard vRSs in Anthracite Grey, only LEs. But, there are a number of 08 model vRSs in Anthracite Grey with various options that were ordered by Skoda UK. These do not have the newer dash and radio etc. There's even a few DSG models lurking about.

Oh that would explain it.....thanks!
