Is it a simple as -

1) Replacing the old unit with this one :D

2) Replacing the old unit with this one and some VCDS/VAS recoding :)

3) Neither of the above as other bits are needed also

whats the price and how old is your car?

hope that would work with the bolero too in my passat :)

Edit: sorry mis read that

From my understanding you would need some other bits too, aswell as the parking controller you may also need a different steering controller iirc

Judging by this: KUFATEC GmbH - Komplett-Set VW Park Pilot Heck inkl. OPS VW Golf 5 36552 you need more than the controller to do the job. New sensors, wiring loom and CAN-BUS interface too by the looks of it. :rotz:

IIRC the new PDC controller doesn't talk to the convenience CAN (not fast enough perhaps?) but don't quote me on that.

Surely there is a cheaper way than this? At €499 its a tad steep for a little graphic on the screen :rotz:

id imagine the reason it doesnt talk to the convenience canbus is for these auto park systems on other VAG models
