Dashboard warning light

Featured Replies

Today on the way to work, a light kept flashing in the top left side of the dash, is it the oil warning light?

On the way home from work it was gone.

Oil warning is usually a red light with a pic of an oil can...not sure where it is on the Octy dash without looking.

The oil warning light is in the shape of an oil can (surprise ;)). It can blink a number of colours, all of which have a different meaning.

hmmmn it like a measuring stick or thermometer above some wavy lights.

was your car not suppiled with an owners manual?

:D

could be a malfunction in your rectal MAF sensor?

Sounds like the water temp symbol? What was the water temp guage showing at the time? :)

Chris

It certainly isn't the oil warning light...

Was at work when this was posted so had no access to manual...

The temp gauge read cold as i just fired it up.

Suggestion, keep manual in glovebox?

I guess so, will have to remove the equaliser...

Did I see in another post you are considering being a VAG technician?

Edward Woodwood?

LOL you certainly did.

The equaliser is an adjustable tyre iron. :)

Dont like the standard short stubby ones.

Edward woodwood? Have you ever seen the wicker man?
