Minimum time between coats of collinite 476s

Featured Replies

Forgive what might be a dim question: I am very new to this and there are minimal instructions on the tin of Collinite 476s, which I've just purchased.

Collinite is going on top of two coats of Chemical Guys' Jetseal 109, which is itself over properly prepared surface on brand new Octavia Estate.

In case it makes any difference, it's durability - especially long-term protection - which I'm interested in, rather than looks.

I have now buffed away the first coat of Collinite and wonder how soon I can get the second one on - today? Or should I wait until tomorrow?

Best wishes and thanks for any replies.

This is entirely up to you mate and your time constraints, you can leave as little as 15 mins, for example, or you could leave it for 24 Hours +.............

I used to leave it 24 hours cos i was usually knackered as it took so long to buff, then i began to realise i was probably using too much :D

Thanks very much, snownrock and Baker 21.

Have put the second coat on and buffed it off and I must say that it all looks very nice. Am hoping it will protect the car for the next summer and autumn, at least.

Subsequent coats will stick better if you wet the car and dry it after each coat
