Mfd2

Hi all, does anyone know what the going price on ebay for a skoda mfd2 cd version is?

There have been some listed for just over £300 buy it now, but these have not sold.

At the moment there don't appear to be any available. You need to check in every few days as they appear quite regularly. Wait for a proper Skoda one or it will have red/blue lighting.

Off the top of my head I would think £350-£450 will be the going rate but the Columbus can be had for just over £600 if you time it right. To be honest the Columbus is infinitely better than the MFD2. If you can save a few hundred quid more, plump for the Columbus.

Think it depends on who is looking for one at the time!

I've just had one unsold on Ebay at £400, with a nine month warranty remaining! There were 7 watching but no offers - so it seems like the answer to your question is < £400

Hope this helps?

The one I am thinking of says skoda nexus unit and was in a 2007 octavia II and the guy wants £300 for it. Are there any extra items this unit should come with to work in my car?

A GPS aerial and Nav CD for the UK are all you need to get up and running.

All it will need is a GPS reciever and a map CD.

You will also need to recode the Can gateway so it knows a nav unit is on board, it can sometimes upset the nav unit and/or maxidot display.

I've just bought a VW MFD2 with DVD navigation (not CD), GPS antenna & code for £250.

This is from a seller in Lithuania but I checked out the feedback, etc & know a couple who have bought from Europe in past.

I wanted a MFD3, but they go for £600-£700, which is out of my price range.

I would guess a genuine Skoda MFD2 would go for £300- £350.

Any one still intrested in a MFD2 unit?

Carrying on from this thread, I am abit confused about fitting a mfd2. I have read the guide on octavia-vrs.com but I am still confused. At the moment I have the 6 disc mp3 head unit with the aux input, so would I loose the aux input function? If so would I need to buy a 6 disc changer for the boot?

You have the Audience unit if the CD changer is built into it. The MFD2 supports the AUX socket input from the jumbo box with some minor alterations.

I swapped my Audience unit for an MFD2 but never bothered with the CD changer.

I used my ipod with 2000 songs on it instead. I also went a step further and fitted the A/V adaptor so I could watch movies from the ipod.

I don't know if Audience equipped cars are pre wired to accept a CD changer in the boot. If not it would be a pain to run it.

No they are not, my car does not have the changer cable present nor the rack that the changer is mounted in.

There is your answer then :) , IMO it would be too much hassle to obtain the parts and install the interconnect :rotz:

Could be if the price is low enough:)

Do the 2008 2009 map disks for the Mfd2 come with points of interest and speed camera locations
