L&K Auto Headlights on when Sunny!

Featured Replies

My Octaiva 1.9 TDi LnK was few months old when a rock smashed up the windscreen, I had it replaced by Autoglass, then the agro began!

The auto headlights come on when it's sunny or don't bother when it's dim in fog. (still the same today)

I took it back untold times had another replacement windsreen, several new sensors and even to main dealer more times than I'd like to say - I gave up in the end and now live with it.

I personally think the guy doing the original window replacement dropped the rear view mirror unit, as this houses the sensor connections etc.... the reason I think this is the auto wipers activate sometimes when you go over a bump in the road, or when you adjust the rear view mirror - it's all minor but it's all irritating agro.

Anyone else had problems with their lights, or are mine oversensitive or are they all like this and I have been complaining for nothing :Oo

I'd be interested to know.

Cheers

Rob

I haven't had problems with my auto lights/wipers, but your situation sounds very annoying. The reason why I'm posting is because the Google ads that are beneath your post (at the time I read it) are for Autoglass and some other windscreen replacement company. How ironic. Or is it because the ads are generated from content mentioned in the post.

My auto lights have always been OK and i've had a replacement windscreen too.

The auto wipers have always been sporadic (read: ****e) and I live with them.

Have you had a look at the little plastic tube between the sensor pod and the roof lining?

Do your puddle lights and auto dimming mirror(s) work ok?

Sounds like a loose connection or a dud component in the sensor pod.
