You should have a 14-day cooling off period with your loan agreement.

Look on the bright side, the Clio must be more entertaining than the Furby!

If the car is in the UK then IIRC any other dealer can request that car for sale to you.

Personally, I'd not go back to this dealer but try another. Thats not trying to get the price you want, I'm not sure that will happen. We all know money is robbed at each sale, thats how they live. But to make the deal happen. Afterall your now a man with a pocket full of cash...many dealers will go to a great length to get that deal.

Chap I brought of had the Primera GT for his son as he wanted one...I was stupid to sell for 3k but then the car I brought was fairly cheap as it was outside the dealers framework.

Worth calling round to others. It's history will catch up on you for the price.

I hope you get it sorted...

Imports are a bad move. A few years ago my boss bought an imported Honda, a few months later she wabnted to get rid of it as it was to long to fit in her garage. She had bought it from a Honda dealer, but when she went back to trade it in against a shorter Honda the dealer told her he would not take it because it was a Japanese spec import!

What do you make of that! The dealer imports these and sells them but will not accpet them for second hand sale!

I can see the dealers point in this as it might be a high risk to take on an import car. Joe public who haven't got a clue about imports IMHO would steer clear of an import even if they are UK spec models.
