New VRS Owner

Featured Replies

Hi All

Although i have made a couple of posts previously i thought i would say hi to everyone!

Picked up my Octavia VRS yesterday - i live near Huddersfield - bought it from a garage in Middlesborough. Took the long costal route back through Whitby and Scarborough to have a good drive in my new pride an joy!

As my name suggests i had a GTI previously - a year 2000 Polo GTI. Nippy little car, however the VRS is in another league!!

I'm really impressed by it - feels much bigger (suprisingly!) and really solid and well put together.

Already had a 'hairy' sideways moment last night - all good fun!!

Anyway a little more about the VRS:

Bought it from a main dealer in Middlesborough (Derek Slack), they seem to have quite a few of the Mk 1 VRS - however they dont stay there long, seem to be selling like hot cakes! It is an 04 plate with 49k miles. Paid £6k - this included new cambelt and water pump, new disks and pads all round, new windscreen, 2 alloys refurbished and 3 new tyres. Think i got a good deal?? As its from a main dealer a 12 month warranty comes as standard.

Really really happy with the car and cant wait for the many thousands of miles to come!
