everything is ok

Featured Replies

just thought i'd put up a post saying everything is ok.

i often read that people have problems with there octavias but i havent had a single problem with mine.

I've owned my VRS for 8months and done 8000miles in it and it hasnt skipped a beat so much so that compared to my old seat ibiza cupra i've managed to save enough for a 5 star holiday in Egypt and paid off my Visa :) Seriously if your looking at saving money buy one of these .

Am sure theres others that havent had any real problems please speak out and preserve the reputation of these fantastic cars lol ;)

It does vary with some cars! I had a terrible Octavia 1.6 - it almost put me off Skoda's completely and I have been in them for the past 24 years! My current one seems to be good (touches desk!) although it is still early days!

Had mine a year and has been mint, cant fault it:thumbup:

I've owned mine a year and a half now and no major issues either.

Had a starting issue, which after replacing both the starter and battery, I've traced down to the ignition barrel. Knowing the mechanic who has known the car since it was new, and worked on the car for the past 4 years was a help too......

Probably tempting fate by posting this, so fingers crossed it remains a reliable motor.

It is refreshing to see a thread like this. I've had the rear washer pipe problem, the pads changed for the reverse "mooing" problem, issues with the reversing sensors and currently have the intermittent temp/coolant lamp fault. But all things considered I'm still a happy bunny.

Had mine five years now and only minor faults

Nice post. Reading of everyone's problems can make you paranoid about stuff going wrong with your car.

Mine's had a couple of minor niggles (front ARB bushes and a rust on rear tailgate) but it is essentially a really solid car that drives as it should. MUCH better put together than my old VR6 and I'm hoping to hold onto it for a few years.

Also, I took it out for a proper A road blast at the weekend. Amazing car to drive and still returned over 29mpg!
