Cheers mate, one of the other guys emailed me a picture of what i'd seen on a vrs at a dealership...cant quite make out what yours look like though.

From what i've seen though, its just a piece of thin sheet steel bent to allow for the rod to pass through goes flat to the body then curves upwards to go over the rod and then back to the car.

Yours looks like it comes off of a pad and comes forwards and folds around on its self?
