Green Cotton filters - multiple sites?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm looking to get a Green Cotton filter for me vRS.

Searching about I see that there seem to be 3 (or more) sites claiming to be the 'official' green cotton website.

cars filters, car induction kit, k&n green & pipercross filter, air filter - Waxacar Green Performance Air Filters

The Official Green Cotton Air Filters web site - GreenFilters.co.uk

Green Cotton Air Filters - Home Page

Anyone ordered from any of these? All three places have differing prices on part P950337

Top link is cheapest.. weird!

Check Ebay? Thats where i got my Piperx and K&N from

I got myself a Jetex one from a member on here, dunno if he's stilll selling them

the top one is Wax a car, a place in Runcorn

the second one is Auto Inparts, who are the importers of Green filters into the UK

the third one is Motor Mania in Essex

i've got a 2nd hand one you can have for a tenner, you will need to clean and oil it though

Bought mine from waxacar

Only negative is that it took about 10 days to deliver it.

Bought mine from Waxacar and took a week to get it

Waxacar are local to myself. They sell an huge amount of "chavy tat" but the guys and the company themselves arent too bad!

Ok thanks people. I think I'll go for the waxacar one seeing that I can wait a week. Unless someone can give me very good reason to get a Jetex one :)

Isn't it likely that they are pretty much identical?

i *think* jetex have more layers of cotton gauze, so maybe better engine protection

also the metal gauze that green use, rusts after a while

Didn't Ross find years back that the Green hasn't got the best fitment?

I'll stick with the cheap paper dealer ones :D

I'd go with Alex's Jetex one for that price. They are much of a muchness, but the Jetex does have the best seal. The Green ones do still tend to vary, some people's being a decent fit, others leaving something to be desired!

If I had a Fabia vRS again, I'd go for Jetex.
