i had a 147 from new. 1st day (i kid you not) on way back to dealers to pickup the old motor - with the missus in shiny new car - the engine started making funny noises. crawl into dealers at half five, throw keys at salesman, find out the engine's completely screwed. new variator every single year under warranty. new disks and pads every single year - £250-650 and not covered under warranty. final 3 year service and work to get it through it's MOT prior to me selling the bloody thing - guess how much? higher. higher. £1000, ladies and gentleman.
