I've got a few milotec items on my car & the grill was once on my list as to get, but I just don't think top grill looks right. Sorry Mark, It makes it look like its got a bulbous nose. The rest of the car looks fantastic:thumbup:

Like the car, lower grills and pillars look good, but the grill just not my thing.

Just spoke to dealer and they can still get the vinyl pillar trims imported. £20 the set.

If you've got an estate, I reckon they make it look a lot less van like.

Rob's Skoda vRS

BTW, respect to Rob for his handy site.

Also, claytarget_god, that is a nice looking upper grille. Big job to do?

cheers mate, not too bad lol

bit of stripping down and cutting lol. took bout an hr or 2 to bend and cut the mesh, then it needs moulding so it bends to meet the skoda badge lol.

takes some doing as you cant just bend the mesh, it needs massageing it out lol.

Do you have any pics of the front of your car with the stock grill?

I think i am swaying towards the standard grill but cant think what it looks like on a silver car, lol.

Garry

Thanks Guys honest answers are good. You know what happens when you get bored and start fiddling:eek:

I don't think it is staying on for long.

The lower ones are also Milotec, come in a set(Butts of Bawtry). Can get them from Superskoda.com to.

Also fitted these door pillars at the same time(again from Butts of Bawtry).

Like these a lot - do you have the part/ref number & price for these from Butts of Bawtry?

Also, not sure on the grill - I did a thread not so long ago about changing ours, in the end, I like the one SuperSkoda do, the replacement inner grill, but haven't got round to ordering one - although I think I will still paint part if it chrome, as breaks it up a bit and looks more standard

Cheers

Thanks for that. Yep, i think it looks better with the stock grill on :) Really nice, clean and tidy.

Kind Regards

Garry

iep that's good to know. I have just the van that needs some attention.

By dealers do you mean your local Skoda dealer? When I asked my local dealer recently he didn't want to know once the computer had said no.

Alternatively, is there such a thing as automotive grade sticky backed plastic? After all, that is what the Skoda ones are really.

Disappointingly, the skoda dealer got back to me today and said that they could not, after all, order these parts as they are now obsolete.

Shame as I quite fancied fitting them. I guess you are right and it should be possible to fabricate your own with some scissors, self adhesive vinyl and a lot of patience but I'm not sure I have that level of skill. Black vinyl tape (100mm width) is available via ebay but it is a gloss rather than mat finish.

Used to have the top grille, but got rid. Looks a bit too 'stuck on' imho. Prefer the standard one- reckon yours would look good with the chrome painted black, or just colour-coded.

Love the pillar trims and the lower grilles!

what have you done?

I think he has just painted his chrome surround black mate :thumbup:lol

oh lol

My vote's in the standard corner I'm afraid.

Grill too small and surround too wide - reminds me a bit of Mick Jagger.

Pillars look good - would be nice to see a wide side-on shot showing the full length of the car to give the overall effect.

Original looks best. Though lex Dysia's one looks well with the badge centered in it does break it up. Like the seat splitter will be investing in one of these. Otherwise fine motor .

Too bulky,

The door pillars are part number 201/PC from Butts of Bawtry( tele b01302 710868)

cost around £48 then add postage.
