Connecting a cable to the fuse box

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I tried connecting a cable to the fuse box of our Roomster last week-end, however with no success. I managed to access the fuse box and take off the back cover. I suppose I have to pull out the purple tab a little bit to be able to inset the cable, but the purple tab is refusing to move. What am I doing wrong?

Cheers.

Welcome...

Maybe you should do this over relais box, instead of fuse block. Maybe, I'm not sure..

Thanks so much. I took a quick look at your guide: what I tried was more or less what you describe ... except that I don't get the connector all the way in. I tried pushing it all the way in with a straw, making sure the "jaws" are properly aligned. Every time the cable dropped out again.

So I must be doing something wrong. But I'm not too sure what ...

That's why I was wondering whether the purple bar which can be seen on the side of the fuse box somehow secures the cables and needs to be pulled out in order to be able to get the connector all the way in.
