Just wanted to let everyone know that I was well pleased with my new car yesterday. For those that don't know, it's a 2001 Metallic Black VW Golf 2.8 V6 4motion. 66,000 miles.

I knew the bodywork was a little uncared for, but who knows what worries lie under the bonnet!!! As it turns out........not many! Had JKM give the car a thorough going over and they managed to find

1) Cracked Front number plate (I knew about that!!)

2) Low tread on Front tyres (I knew about that!!)

3) Slight Air con leak (the car has windows and sunroof anyway!!!)

4) Slight transfer box leak (possible oil seal gone, will keep an eye on it)

5) Cracked Dipstick Tube (£38 to replace!!)

Overall I am very happy with this, as I was worried that the car might be falling apart because the owner was very vague about the cars history.

I will shortly be writing my opinion on the differences between the 1.8t and the 2.8 V6, as this seems to be an ongoing debate on the ukmkiv forum!
