Thought I'd share some photos of where I spent my younger years -not many ,but when I bring myself to go through my late dad's albums ,from memory he took a lot on the Devils staircase (about half a mile from his home ) -I'll stick someup for other's enjoyment .

Mallaig harbour - sometime a lot earlier - no definate date ,but possibly 1930-40 (with a box brownie- and oh -it still works)

Might be of interest to philje - that's the ferry pier .(Photo from my mum's collection she wouldn't mind sharing a photo of her dad's "company vehicle " -( to go out in forces 0-8 to earn a living ),along with a few other brave blokes .

To give you some scale - the gaps on the pier from horizontal to horizontal are /were about 6'(2 metres )

Edit -( for those who've read The Hebredian Sharker - this was the boat belonging to the bloke referred to as the "Admiral")

Corpach, Loch Eil. I spent 3 weeks there on an Outward Bound course in 1984......nice part of the world.
