I had mine remapped there, although I have no confirmed figures. That is a good increase you have there. Both the Forge and Bailey are good make sure it has a right-angled adaptor which after installation will allow you to use the engine cover. You might want to consider a S3 lower front strut brace and a larger rear anti-roll bar. A boost gauge will also be worth installing.

How much can you spend? ;)

Have a look through the Octy 1 forum, cos there's a few cars have been tuned from 180 to over 300bhp, but that takes rather more than just a remap.

Quite right, for money spend compared to gains received, you can't do much better for your pounds than your remap. How much do you want to spend? Getting up to 300+ will involve £3000 + outlay unless you buy second hand, or do the work yourself. Lots of VAG specialist garages can do you complete tuning packages based around big turbo conversions, have a search on line, or here too! Enjoy

well ive, bought a forge diverter valve today, then i was told it had the wrong spring in (green)so ive had to buy a kit for the yellow spring, ive also found a split pipe(breather)which explains the dodgy idle and the jerking on boost,so hopefully when i fix it all it should be loads better then iwill take it back on rollers as they said it might make a little bit more bhp :)

Could be wrong (never had a remap) but shouldnt they do a health check when mapping the car checking for broken pipes ect?

They normally just scan it with vag-com for fault codes before, the extra boost from the remap can cause problems to arise.

Sort out the handling. Rear anti-roll bar is a brilliant mod + coilovers if you can stretch to it. Brakes also worth doing. No good having the power if you can't use it! ;)

Which pipe was split?

its got grooved brakes on it does stop good, its a oil breather pipe that split it goes from one pipe then brnches in to 2,comes from by diverter valve then goes in rocker, not to sure to be honest first vag ive owned
