ok, how's this for GOOD customer service?

About a month ago I bought a set of "Lesjofors" -30mm lowering springs for my Mk1 Octy. I aksed in the shop "are these ok for the vRS?" as the booklet he was working from said they were TDi springs.

He phoned the company whilst I was there and they said "Yes, they are the same"

So I bought them and fitted them, and found they were EXACTLY the same height as the OE springs.

Last week (don't forget my car is still stuck in Wales) I phoned the shop and explained my predicament; and ASKED what they could do to help me.:confused:

They said "Leave it with us, we'll phone the supplier and get back to you"

I had a phone call yesterday. The suppliers have said "Sorry, we appear to have made a mistake. We are going to prototype a set of -30mm springs for your car, based on the OE ones, and we will test them before giving them to you to trial for us.

We would like you to evaluate them for us; so that we can begin producing them for the vRS. We assure you they will be made professionally and we will hold ourselves liable for any damage in the unlikely event that some should happen to your car as a result of fitting them.

Once again we are sorry for the inconvenience and will be supplying these springs to you at no cost."

Now THAT is what I call a responsible company who care about their reputation.

Updates (and pics) as and when I get the springs etc...

Sounds good JCB. Thats what i do with my exhaust and cam developments. If we dont do that car and want to, the owner gets a free be in exchange for some feedback.

Its good that they admitted the problem and reacted so quick. Top Job.
