Rossi - IOM TT Lap

Featured Replies

Read on todays MotoGP site that Rossi is doing a parade lap at this years TT:thumbup:

Hope he realises that shirtlifting is still illegal over there, we don't want anyone being birched now do we?:D

Watched the TT for years on TV but finally went to the Island and rode the circuit for a weekend last year. I always thought I had respect for the TT riders, but when I had been and bounced around the streets for myself I realised just how special the talent is. Rossi will realise it when he's been around the place. Fair play to him for having a look. He knows how to market himself!!

He knows that already:thumbup:

Hes always stated he has the utmost respect for the guys that race there, hes been a fan for many many years. He's also stated that he'd never have the balls to race there.

I remember the first time Colin Edwards went for a look, stood there open mouthed!!!

I went to the TT races from 1986 every year through to and including 1996.......never failed to impress me at the skill and bravery of those that ride there.

Joey/Hizzy/Foggy etc etc..........class through and through, as are many others.

Although Joey has the most wins, I reckon Hizzy was the true master and would have just upped his pace to beat whoever came along.........shame we'll never know.

Em, according to no less an authority than Joey Dunlop, short-shifting is essential in a few places round there; for instance accelerating out of Governer's Bridge.

Very true, but then he was never a 'back marker' was he.

Married with children, back in the days of the "Amoy Armada".

Now those were the days Ken and that is a quality DVD too if you get your hands on it ...The opening sequences just make your hairs on the back of your neck stand up ...oh i can almost smell the two stroke just thinking about it he he

"The Road Racers", available with "V4 Victory", the stories of the year Joey was discovered and his first year with Honda, available as a single disc 2 film set from Duke.

Thanks for the memories, and respec', to all those featured in The Road Racers.
