Contemplating going green and swapping vRS for electric car

Featured Replies

Had a drive in a fully automatic electric car this weekend and was impressed by it's smoothness (even compared to a DSG) and quietness. Excellent green credentials. Downsides are it's only a 2-seater, and there's no room for the weekly shop. But on a positive note, bodywork protection was obviously a priority, keeping repairs to a minimum.

Good idea or not ?

Hahe - nice

Did not realise that Dodge Motors were into electric cars - is that a Dodge EM or a Dodge Ram ? :D

Put your hands where we can see them sir.

Looks better than a Prius, tho.

Now THAT'S what I call a front splitter (see thread on Leon Cupra) ... and I'm talking about the bit on the outside front of the car, not the rather dubious leg positioning!

This vehicle has universal market application due to McLaren-style central steering wheel position (no need for separate LHD and RHD configurations), but I fear that's where the McLaren similarities end.

If you are claiming that's a two-seater then I fear your partner needs to attend an anorexia clinic ASAP.

Sounds a great idea, but having to carry around the fairground roof to complete the electrical circuit via the rear-end pole pickup might just prove a little restricting touringwise? That's why the trolleybus never caught on for personal trasport I guess?

we have some electric lorries at work, good for 50 miles but hate the winter, from moving them around the yard they actually not bad on acceleration and you can just as fast in reverse as to forward :o

Unfortunately legroom is at a bit of a premium, hence the knees-up driving position (managed to keep the mouse in the house at all times though)

That may be, but you can't get an open top McLaren !

Strictly a 1 + 1 I'm afraid - 1 adult and one child

Simple - cover all the roads across the country with a fairground roof - no problem with the weather, so all cars can remain open top without getting a soaking. Lorries etc would obviously have to use separate routes.

Now - has anybody got any POI's for my MFD3 to point me in the direction of the nearest assylum ?
