Why would a strut brace prevent roll?

A strut brace brace will prevent some of the shell flex around the front of the car, making steering more precise.

If you want to prevent body roll you need to be looking at ARB's, springs and dampers.

After seeing the image it looks like you have a bit of an understeer problem, rather than body roll.
