There's Millions of VAG all under one roof

Boastful windscreen banner strip on order now

Why shouldn't the Prague trips continue? I don't think the "under one roof" statement is being meant literally. It rather refers to the brands all coming under one "corporate" roof which exists at the moment, rather than have Porsche meddle at the sidelines using the voting majority of shares that they had (51%). Porsche has always been ridden with family feuds. VW top man Ferdiand Piech is Ferdiand Porsche's nephew.

Will all brands will now be part of the CarsЯUs company?

The way I read it, and other articles on the matter, is they want a super factory site for all brands, and utilising quiet times to switch production from one car brand to another.

Bit like how GM do things state side.

So a 911 2.0 TDI on the cards then? :D

I can't see Skoda leaving Mlada Boleslav soon.... If they did though that town would just die flat on it's face. I'm not sure I've ever seen one town so reliant on a single employer.

I think that any factory moves is highly unlikely, both seat and skoda have relativlye new factories and trained workforces, while the vw audi sites are spread out across germany. Grouping together would create a city (bit like toyota) and be massivley expesnive to do.

Do Porsche owners really want the indignity of having to admit there car is made in the same factory as a seat.
