Hey everyone, i'm Marc from Warrington. Just joined the site to help me decide whether I want a Fabia VRS for my next car - and its confirmed, that will definately be the case! I've read some great reviews and helpful advice and tips about the car and now can't wait to get one! I'm currently leasing a car through a scheme at work (5dr Astra 1.6 Club), but this expires in July and I want to own my own car.... the Fabia fits the bill in all aspects of what i'm after

So hopefully within the next 8 weeks or so I should be posting a bit more.

All I need to do now is to find one! I've seen a few about on autotrader/ebay/pistonheads but obviously don't want to get my heart set on one as it will no doubt be gone by July.

So if anyone is toying with the idea of getting rid around that time please keep me up to date.. i'm hoping to spend between £5-6K for one with decent mileage and good nick.... so finger crossed i'll have some pictures for the owners gallery soon!

Should be able to get a great car for that money even though values are very firm. Make sure the car hasn't had a dodgy chip up job and that it has been run on the correct PD 505.01 oil.

Thanks for the advice. I'm hoping to find a standard one to be honest power wise, no chips or remaps... although the power would be nice I'd sooner be sure my clutch and gearbox etc. was safe and sound

My sentiments exactly which is why mine's standard. I wonder how many unmodded cars are left!

Its been a while since my original post so thought i'd update.... I am now the proud owner of a 55 plate Black Magic Fabia VRS!! Picked it up on Friday and i'm loving it. No plans for it up to now I don't think as its nice and un-mollested, completely standard, think I want to keep it that way. Will get some good pics up when the weather gets nice again (hopefully!).
