1) Are these brake hoses sided?

2) Are they a straight swap for the standard Fabia items or do I have to change anything? We had a brief look when we were changing for 312mm callipers and the end that connects to the brake hose mounted on the car appears to be the opposite way around to the existing hose. Are we being stupid?

My problem is my existing brake hoses have a very slight dampness where they connect on to the calliper and I would like to replace the hose (and hence have a new washer) to eliminate any chances of brake fluid leaks or exposure of brake fluid to the atmosphere.

why don't you just replace the copper washers ?

Because we've already got the slightly longer brake hoses, and the normal fabia vrs items are quite a tight fit with the 312mm callipers
