Its looks suit the overall car for me. No frills, I mean business, now **** off out of my way

I'm really enjoying owning my one nearly 2 years on and my current plan is to keep it to late 2012 / early 2013. A few little tweaks here and there mean that I feel like I'm really making it my own.

SWMBO gave up with "It's the car or me" senario after my 10th car, I now have had over 40+. including All ranges of Peugeot GTI models and Mi16v variants, Ford RS's, sporty vauxhalls (if you can call them that)Subaru's etc. I used to get bored with them very quickly. I had a Renault 5 turbo for only 2 hours once. The wife said it looked like a Pope mobile!. The Octy VRS is my longest car at just over 2 years ownership. I am still not bored with it.

To say i have the tuning bug is an understatement. Last weekend I washed it , waxed it, cleaned interior. Neigbour had a bonfire that evening, so i re detailed it and waxed it next day. (sad or what). I am always staring at it from the window from all angles, trying to make out i am paying attention to what SHMBO is saying,. And then get are you looking at your car again.

I fitted the Milotec rear difusser then took it off as it was carbon effect. I just want the plan black but they don't do them for teh VRS bumper....

Bowders, That is why I posted it as I am loving mine and have done for the las 4 years lol. minus a 3 month period in 2007 when I started to tune the car and had bad remaps and DV lol. I was gonna sell and get the Astra GSi. SO GLAD I DIDNT THO

I got her back to std and then its been up since then and I cant ever see my self sellin her. gonna keep her for ever and do every thing I want to her and use for the weekends. Might get a run around to keep the miles off.

I thought they made a black ABS splitter for the vrs? thats **** lol as I want the plain black on for mine too. Carbon is ****e and I dont think it looks good on the car. unless its the roof. Prope tho not stick on. sorry trevor

I've been after one for mine - it's on the wishlist - but I wanted plain black.

Back to the original topic - My car is five years old in two weeks and I intend to keep it for another five.

It's all down to this forum and the modding bug. I love the car, the performance, the practicality, the looks, and the fact that I can keep changing it and don't get bored with it.

The only frustrating think is the 62mph national speed limit here. Though there are some great roads where you can hardly get to that speed because of the wiggliness,

SWMBO doesn't agree of course - she thinks it's all a big waste of money and it's just a car, but if I didn't have a mental wishlist for it I would probably have started looking to replace it by now, which would cost just as much if not more!

Especially as there are so many older V8s to be had here

I've had mine for 7 years this october, it started as my Company Car, but bought it from them after 3 years

It's still only got 80K on the clock which is about the average for the age, and still runs like a dream, looks good and always keeps me smiling.....

Would be absolutely gutted if I had to get rid, and probably wouldn't get much for it

Have you got ne pics of the rear dif mate? Wonder what it would look like on a black car? I want the abs plastic one too so it matches the scuff bits and the front LCR splitter.

I didn't like the carbon effect diffusor either on the silver vRS, so I got It colour coded:D:thumbup: & the colour coded theme took off from there:P

Billy the carbon effect diffusor may look ok on a black car as the carbon won't stand out too much from the black.

Here you go. Does not look carbon effect from the angles but it is. I think on black it would look ok.

Took me ages to remove it, as i stuck it on with black sealant.
