Replacing the speaker grill

Featured Replies

I had a little accident today and cracked open the speaker grill on my backdoor. Do anyone of you who has seen the inside of the door know if this part is replaceable or do I have to buy the hole doorcard? As far as I can see from pictures there are some screws or somthing holding it together, but it may also be plastic welds. Picture of the part attached.

Best regards

There plastic rivets as such, melted over to hold the grill in place, i did have some butchered rear door cards about a week ago.

I've still got the front door cards and seats, but dont know if the grills are the same without looking at the car.

Thanks for your reply!

This happened to my backdoor so I guess parts form the front door would`nt help me- but thanks anyway. I will try to fix it with som glue from the inside or perhaps try to get this part from the car dealer. Any idea how much a doorcard costs?

Best regards,

Jan Erik

I dont think it would be cheap

I've smashed my rear nearside speaker grille and am unable to get a new one. My dealer has looked and suggests the only way is to either order a new door card (upwards of £100) or raid a scrappie.

Front and rear speaker grilles are different too.
