1.9 fabia SDI classic

Featured Replies

Hi,

The interior light keeps on intermittently coming on when the doors are shut.

Any ideas as this keeps on triggering my alarm.

Steve

VAG.com will tell you which door sensor, rear hatch, or bonnet is causing the alarm to operate, you'll have to find out which one is intermittantly setting it off first. Any VAG dealer will diagnose this for you or find someone local to you with VAG.com.

As a temporary measure you can try disabling the interior alarm with the button on the drivers side "B" post every time you start the car. If it still alarms whilst your driving then youv'e already discounted the interior sensors.

I thought all Fabias had an immobiliser, but the vRS was the only model to have an alarm. I must be wrong, then.

My Gut instinct says it's the boot sensor. My 2001 Elegance had a duff one that needed a good thud sometimes to register as closed.
