A bit of an update!

Following a few visits from Ben (Shark_90) we managed to diagnose that the ECU had actually failed. It would accept a re-flash, but then immediatley crash the next time you connected to it.

Thanks to Ben for his efforts - especially as his last visit was on his way to Le Mans! Top man who knows his stuff!

There is no obvious damage to the processors - no sign of blown chips or water ingress. It's just doesn't work.

Ebay is scattered with very similar ECU's - ever variant under the sun except the "EG" option!

When I spoke to my local dealer they weren't convinced I was quoting them the correct number. They finally came back with £875 + VAT + Coding!

As a result of this the car has been sat on the drive for over 6 weeks waiting for a breaker to find the correct part..

I'm now awaiting delivery of an ECU, with a short warranty - should be here on Thursday.

I'll post an update when it arrives.
