Rear wiper has vanished

Featured Replies

and I was amazed how quick it was to remove. Trim off in 20 seconds, blade/arm assembly off in about 5 minutes (after needing the usual soak of GT85 to help loosen it off the wiper motor ) and the motor was off in about 3 minutes after undoing just 3 bolts and pulling the water pipe connection off.... I must remember to detach that pipe at the pump end as well

The hole is currently masked off with good old duck tape, but I have trial fitted a bung successfully but it is currently undergoing some painting to make it more black to match the tint of the glass. :)

The only pic I have today is my car before I washed it tonight! BLOODY seagulls!

I could never do that, the spray that comes up from my wheels onto the rear screen really bugs me. Always use my rear wiper, alot more than in my old corsa. Must be something to do with the fabias brick like aero dynamics.

Must look really tidy though!!!

Going to be investing in some G3 glass sealant stuff which is meant to be even better than the ombrello stuff I used to use. :) All crud should hopefully roll off in some direction when it lands on the car. [fingers crossed]

I've been meaning to get some carlack 68, got any ideas how it compares with the two sealants you mentioned?

I heard about it from a guy on here a little while back (forget who though :o ) Described it as the SS version of window sealants... lol.

Opps, no sorry.. don't mean carlack 68, just mean carlack glass sealant.. :o

About time! :D

Video of glass treated with G3 gunk, one month down the line. :)

Yup, Fairy Snuff! Updated my stuff to get list ;)

Deleted,

Yeah, so clean water just falls off. If the same thing happens with the mixture of soot, tar and spray that gets kicked up i'll be very impressed.

I needn't worry about soot as all that comes out the side now, but spray for sure - I will be interested to see how it works. Hoping that the turbulence will make mist into bigger beads and they will roll off in some direction or other. :)

I'm also not sure what to secure the rubber plug with either. Have super glue on standby, but not sure it will do rubber to glass..

G1 = more durable but I want the extra performance really. :)

Doesn't work cos there's no airflow over the back screen to wipe it off

as above, all my windows have the Carlack sealant on them, it beads nicely but it doesnt run off the window, you will want your wiper back
