Featured Replies

Hi everybody only had my skoda octavia vrs 3 wks and its back to the stealer, car started fine but once i changed into second gear the car started to jump about (like it was out of fuel) then the abs light came on then the airbag light then it just cut out, so after waiting 5 mins it turned over again but did the same again, so i,m now car less, just after starting to really like the motor, just hoping its nothing to me having it remapped last wk? the guy at pendle performance thinks not, but it does make you wonder! Anybody thinking the same or any ideas? all the help is good help, cheers :)

Hello :wave23d:

Sorry can't help you but i do feel for you!

welcome along

I know the guy at Pendle Performance and he knows his stuff, I'm pretty sure it won't be to do with the remap :)

welcome to briskoda, sorry to hear about the problems with your octy, hope it does not dampen your relationship with the car.

Welcome :)

Hi, I hope you get it sorted soon.

As I'm about to order my first Skoda tomorrow I hope such things are the exception rather than the rule. I think all this trying to be make cars greener and more economical is also making them more unreliable. I used to have and Audi 80 that I bought in 1985 and it never let me down in 13 years. It had a carburettor, no catalytic convertor or engine management system, ran on leaded fuel which was useful during the petrol shortage and I always got around 500 miles on a tankful of petrol out of its 1.8 engine.
