Hi,

I just bought an oil filter from a Skoda dealer for my Fabia VRS and I had a part number of "071 115 562 A" but he said it has changed and is now "071 115 562 C"

I just want to make sure this is correct before I attempt my oil change.

I think the letter at the end indicates a revision of the part- so C is an updated part over A. Can a tech confirm?

i'm sure you are correct CJB ,

it wouldn't be a problem anyway , just unscrew the filter top cap , and it will be a simple matter of checking whether the new filter matches the old one , if it doesn't just screw the filter/cap back in
