milk float esqu electrical whine

Featured Replies

OK so maybe not quite like a milk float, but the VRS (Tfsi) has that kind of whiny sound in first and second when reving above 2k or so, and i'm not sure i noticed it before the dealer started 'making adjustments' to sort out a suspension problem.

It also seems to take a while to rev down in neutral - i.e. if you blip the throttle it doesnt drop as quick as you might expect. Again, cant remember if it has always done this or not.

Any ideas? 'm thinking of going to a competing skoda dealer and test driving one of theirs to see if it is the same :D

My engine does the exact same when you blip the accelerator in neutral so i wouldn't worry about that

As for the whine i have sometimes heard that (only usually with the window open) but never really paid much attention to it.

If your not sure test drive another as you mentioned and if your still not happy take the car to a couple of different dealers and see if they all say its not a problem
