Felicia startup problem, Blinking dashboard

Featured Replies

Hello everybody! I am new here , posting I mean , I have searched this forum but I could not find the problem I have , sometimes , not always, when I put the contact my dashboard starts to blink and from the fuse box I can hear a blinking noise , and of course the car won't start, also when this happens I can see that the light from the dashboard is not so bright like when everything is working right .

I have changed the Battery in october last year.

I have a Skoda felicia 1.3 50Kw MPI

I would really appreciate your opinions and help, Many thanks in advance

Do you mean on ignition the dash lights arent bright and when you try to crank the car nothing happens?

exactly , I spin the Key in the ignition and nothing happens, and usualy after the blinking and the noise the radio stations that I have memorized reset, and I have to program them again, sometimes also the clock resets

So the starter doesn't crank?

starter fuse?

starter motor itself gone?

nothing, the car is dead, I leave it alone for 2 3 minutes, and try again and it starts fine

i would suggest if the radio stations are resetting then the voltage is obviously being killed. Battery could be buggered. It might say its fine on a charger but under load it could be dying... simple one could be battery terminal connections - make sure these are clean, tight and have no corrosion on them.
