no, the maxi-dot isnt like it is on the golf or octy. Only selectable options are:

MFD

VEHICLE STATUS

LANGUAGE

DISPLAY OFF

It's only for graphical warnings e.t.c. Only advantages are radio info, analogue fuel and temp guages and the current mpg display updates almost real time wheras there is a slight lag on the standard mfd, pretty cosmetic. Will also display sat nav i think with the basic black and white navi system offered in the Fabia II/Roomster. It's not a canbus car which is why i dont think its capable of the things the ones on the A5 cars e.t.c

edit: also the whole dashpod has attractive white needles as opposed to the mfd's green, the parking brake light is removed and the display shows "depress brake" instead on tiptronic equipped cars
