Radiator fan question???

Featured Replies

Hello!I got a Skoda Felicia 1.3 GLXI.Yesterday I went to London where the traffic is horrible.I have seen that the the water temperature goes up to around 102-105 celsius

when the radiator fan turns on.So I had to turn on the heating in my car to keep the temperature on normal 90C.My question is that is it possible to change the radiator fan start up temperature?Or if no is it possible to upgrade the fan?(like changing on a double fan??from skoda fabia???)

My car is model year 1996 so this fits into my car?Any instructions how to change it?Thank You

Yes it should fit. For some reason Jorily has put the incorrect image on the site. The temp sender is just like a big bolt in the radiator.

When the car is cold and has not been run in a while (risk of burning otherwise).... Be prepared for some coolant leaking and have some new coolant at hand. Remove the connectors off the old one, unscrew it and quickly remove it and the old washer quickly screwing in the new one (which should hopefully come with a new washer). It only needs to be done tight enough so it does not leak so don't overdo it. Reconnect the connectors. Top up the correctly diluted coolant as required and run the engine with the coolant cap off (drape a cloth over the top to prevent splashes on paintwork) till the fan cuts in then turns off in order to bleed the coolant system. Let it cool and if required add some more coolant then you should be away.
