New VRS Facelift Video...

Featured Replies

Now that is nice!!

that looks great in yellow !

Definately looks more menacing from the front although the rear still looks the same imo. Needs more power in the form of the 265bhp TSI variant VW are putting in the Sirroco and no doubt will end up in the Golf VI ................ then I could be tempted ;)

I am actually quite impressed, looks good.

Any reason it is not 210bhp as per the Golf with the TSI engine?

The powerplant in the Scirocco R is the same one as the current S3, so it's a TFSI, rather than a newer tech TSI unit - 261bhp/258lbft.

That is a sweet motor. i'd love to trade mine for it. Wonder what price they are looking for them?

Now that looks a lot meaner. Nice.

I do like!

Yep, looks stunning imho.

Could be tempted by a CR170 DSG. :)

Very much liking the facelift and will be interested when pricing is confirmed. Out of curiosity, what impact does the launch of the new facelift have on current VRS stock with dealers .....will there be bargains to be had or is it no impact at all seeing as the engine specs remain the same ??

Too much time spent on the combi..are they trying to hide something from the hatchback?..nice badge though :)

Who decided that 1/2 second jump cuts in time to the music were a really good idea? Blah! Looks like some amateur home wedding video with cars appearing then disappearing only to reappear in another spot.

I've watched the new video a couple of times now, still can't get on with these daylight running lights! Is this another daft EU regulation? Just can't see how it's going to be beneficial. Maybe in some dark corner of Scandinavia where they don't see light half the year ;)

For future ref, anyone know if they can be disabled and whether it's legal to do so if you have them fitted?

Steve

I quite like those lights!

Steve

They're pretty well integrated, I'll say that. I just don't really see the point in them being on all the time. If they were in the role of sidelights, I'd be in agreement with you I think :)

Steve

We have spoilers that look good and serve no purpose (apart from adding drag) so now lights are to be used for styling too, in the guise of safety. look at the Audi running lights and the BMW angel eyes.

Steve

All new cars have to have daytime running lights from 2011.

They can be deactivated but if that is done they can't be reactivated IIRC.

See you point, but a spoiler isn't deemed manitory by the European Union ;)

Cheers Tom. On/off is something VCDS will be able to take care of, surely? :rubchin:

does nothing for me - well except further hammering the residuals of my one year old vRS

I can't be doing with the "idiot" lights either.

I'm sure however, like most new cars it will grow on me as they hit the streets.

i really like that :)

Want one of the badges for my MK1 tho ;)

Garry

Yeah i really like the look of that, looks much better from the front end back did'nt seem to different, why no extra power though?

Looks stunning IMO ...

I want one!!!!!!
