as title, i've ordered my air filter but popped into local seat dealer and they wanted £80 for both parts of the intake. (bit steep i thought)

how much should i be paying for this, someone has said about £35!!

just out of intrest can you get non gen one's? if so, if anyone knows of a seat ibiza cupra with a pd160 lump in it, could they PM me the reg. i know its a lot to ask but would really appreciate it.

yeah i got one through our trade club in work an they cam back to about70 inc vat!

the guys said the huge demand in them meant they went up in price!

typical seat really, they did the same with the brembos when the cupra r first came out!

thats what i mean, cheapest i can get it is like £60 at trade with discount!!!! lol. no VW's got this fitted?

I got mine from a forum member called Rougemont last year - he used to sell them all the time for £50 all in! Its worth dropping him a PM and asking if he can get any more

I think Rougemont's stopped now - AIUI, he bought them on the Continent, and the saving was onlr really down to exchange rates. Now of course, they're not so favourable so it's not worth it. Same has done for VAG-Parts, as it happens... :(

Picked mine up yesterday..... £80 minus a few pennys!

Too early to say if its been worth the money yet, but the way i see it, if the 160 Cupra engine needed the extra air, then a Fabia running the same or more BHP should get the same benefits.

I know its not cheap, BUT to the untrained eye it looks like it rolled out of the factory with it

just checked my levels and noticed i already have tre pd 160 trumpet but the pipe is still like £53 + VAT but saves a few quid
