One more for jenson!!!!

GET IN THERE!

bring on silverstone

what i really admire is that on the team radio, all he did was congratulate the guys back in the garage for the car they've built. just seems less self-congratulatory than certain drivers.......

Vettel didn't seem to say a lot to the team on the radio at the end. Jenson is driving so smooth, looking after the tyres and the car, no drama even when Vettel got close. Six wins and a third out of seven races is good going, two more wins and I can't see anyone catching him.

And his dad's easier to tolerate than a certain other person's dad IMO ;)

Even if he does only seem to own one shirt!

This was the best F1 race that I have seen for a long time :)

Yup

Feel for Barachelo tho but he did make a few entertainin parts there.

I norm dont watch every min of the race but this one was epic.

Cant wait for silverstone!!!!!!

I hate it when one driver dominates, but in this case ill make an exception.

Ive heard Schmacher mentioned a few times in comparison, but I disagree, he always made small mistakes, had a team mate as a buffer and a bigger car advantage. Jenson has been flawless this year. Im no great fan of his but hats off, he's making Lewis's fumblings of last year look very, very ameaturish.

And i totally agree with the Dad comments

Another excellent drive from Jenson, can't wait for Silverstone.

Seemingly John wore that "lucky shirt" in Oz...

Most entertaining section was when Barrichello was being competitive and passing people all the time. It was a big shame that he clipped the rear wheel of the car in front and span out. F1 is only entertaining when overtaking happens and unfortunately the only person that seemed to be making a real effort this weekend was Barrichello. Sorry to disagree but so far I don't think any of the races have been that good.

Pleased that Jenson is winning and he seems like a genuinely nice guy, but I would LOVE for F1 to be more about overtaking and 'racing' than strategy. The changes made over this last season haven't removed the fact that strategy is everything still.

I say make the race shorter so no pit stops are required ;)

Congrats to Jenson but IMHO this season kind of shows how little a driver matters in F1

Hamilton had 2 seasons of running right at the front all season long and (somewhat luckily) clinched the title last year, with Button being nowhere for a good few years.

They are obviously both super talented drivers but the switch in fortunes shows that its the car and development that wins titles.

Brawn have "made a monster of a car" while McLaren appear to have created a complete duffer.

Make them swap drivers seats for a couple of sessions and its likely fortunes would be reversed again.

Or they could all drive the same cars, but wait A1 isn't exactly that popular since they are so evenly matched there still isn't that much overtaking. What you really want is some touring car action where you can have a bit of contact and still keep going.

Answer - give them rails round the wheels like a big go-kart

Giving the best drivers in the world the best cars in the world will always level the playing field

A1GP suffers from being too level to not be entertaining.

Touring cars, novice racing, or Moto GP are the most entertaining ways forward.

Just catch some of the Renault Clio support races on the BTCC calendar to see that!

Alternatively:

Briskoda need to acquire some land

lay down a track

and come up with some comedy racing championships (Top Gear one person does the pedals one person does the steering stylee!)....

oh i feel a new thread coming on ;)

LOL

I agree that its the overtaking that makes it. in that case then I think the tracks are what need to change?

Unfortunatly it is all about strategy, but I think that that is a good thing to have as it is not just down to the driver but also the team to get the car out there as fast as pos? I think that this season is yet another good season, I also liked last season and the season before. Just seems to get better and better.

Unfortunatly, all the drivers are very very very good drivers and there is pos not much between them so on that basis you cant give them all the same car with the same power.

Also it is more entertaining when overtakin goes wrong as it breaks the car, BTCC is that close really you could just barge your way thru which to me is not that good as there is no skill in it, the skill is gettin past without crashing and breakin the car.

I do like the curs ?? thing lol as it did show how hard it is to get oround and stay round lol, but it also anoys as its hard to get round asnd stay round.

Ill shut up now:-)

KERS* ;)

KERS* ;)

Kinetic Energy Recovery System

doesn't matter in either spelling as the teams want it banned next year anyhow

Teams call for KERS to be scrapped - Yahoo! Eurosport UK

When a team becomes the underdog, they seem to do better. I dont think Mclaren would have won without the underdog spirit.

Only Ross could have done this with the down trodden staff who must have felt so crappy after everthing over the winter.

I really had hoped Williams would have been back near the top. Always supported them as a team, as I admire Sir Frank and dad's firm (well his employers) did a lot of work with them in the 80's.

I'd love to see Williams doing well again, actually it would be nice to see the big companies just supplying engines rather than having supplier teams IMHO

someone(namely barrichello) should burn that pink shirt John Button wears....

And do his shirt up!

He's not Austin Powers!

So, any predictions for todays race? I think it will be a Red Bull one two, unless they have issues with tyres or the cars. Jenson to come in third.

Alternatively, Webber slings one down the outside of Vettel into Copse and Vettle takes them both off. Webber 'chins' Vettel and we spend the next 90 minutes discussing the first corner incident while the Brawns come home 1st & 2nd:rolleyes:

close.

But no cigar:thumbup:
