Recommended 225/40 18" tyres for 07 vRS

I take it that was the Reading branch of Costco then? They've seemed so uninterested when I've gone in there that I've bought tyres elsewhere (Micheldever) on principle.

Getting back on topic, I've just had 2 Falken 452s to replace my worn out ContiSportContact3s for £169 all in. Only done 250 miles in them so far but fantastic tyres when you consider the price.

Yes the Reading Costco. The deal at the time was £423 for 4 Michelin PS2's fitted.

Not too sure how they will wear but I guess time will tell. The Pilot Exaltos that I took off seem to have lasted quite well so they could be an option.

im wondering what people think of the Michelin energy tyres, do they actually give you better mpg and what sort of experience mileage people have had with this? obviously as i spend most of my time driving to and from work with very few fun roads i dont need expensive tyres to tear around in.

I doubt you'll find any Michelins particularly cheap anyway - one fitter mentioned some to me that would be good for economy, then proceeded to tell me they'd be about £150 each !

i did look at them when i got the 452's and there was only £10 i the price.

Just stay clear of Avon ZZ3's!...I bought my car with them on and they are rather poor IMO!:thumbdwn:

I've been praising mine for wet & dry grip, quietness & comfort, only gripe is the MPG.

After 20k approx 2.5mm tread on fronts, 5mm on rears, not too bad rally.

What specifically didn't you like?
