Hi all, my daughter owns a car but it is declared SORN at the moment so has no tax, insurance or MOT. All I wanted to know was can I legally take it to a mot station?

1) Insure it.

2) Phone a local to it MoT station and make an appointment for an MoT.

3) Take car for MoT.

4) If it passes, you can now take it home and tax it.

Day insure might help you out here.

If you are insured fully comp on your own car, check your policy, you might find that you are covered third party on a vehicle that is not owned by yourself,

You can take it DIRECTLY to a pre-booked MOT appointment and DIRECTLY home again with no MOT or tax.

You will need insurance.

Or put it on a trailer :)
