Overpriced ?

Featured Replies

Popped in and had a swatch at this today.

Was nice in the flesh, alloys a bit knackered, but overall quite tidy.

Worth the asking price though ?

Seems a little steep.

06 plate Fabia vRS

Black Magic

52k

Xenons

ESP

£7488

Answers on a postcard. :)

That's top money in my opinion, I'd be looking to pay about £6500 I guess.

But I don't know anything about the value of cars really! :D

About what you would expect it to be advertised for at a dealers I think - ESP and Xenons do push the price up a bit.

I'd still be wanting a good bit off for a cash deal though.

You could probably pay less be buing private - there are some very nice cars up for sale on here at the moment.

Most people will meet you at a local train station so I'd look further afield and be prepared to travel for the right car

Edit: Just to add I've not heard many good things about Arnold Clark - is the Arnold Clark Sucks website still around?

my 07 se is up for a little over this at the minute,18k from new, full se numbered leather, with some tidy extras thrown in to boot:thumbup:

Thanks..

I'm not actually looking to spend that much on the/a car anyway, 7k is my limit.

And no offence, but i dont like the Blue SE's.

It seems that the motor trade likes Fabia vRS's at the moment. I was offered very nearly £8000 for my '06 with 85,000 miles against a new Octavia vRS, £7250 against an Audi TT and a whopping £9000 against an Audi A5 3.0 TDI.

Chequered Flag in Attleborough had an 05 plate with 35,000 miles on the clock and no options (apart from it was Black) for £7498 and it sold in a week.

They do seem to be holding their value extremely well at the current time.

That is excellent !

I wonder what the dealer would value mine at ? might just ask next time im in.

There is a quite well spec'd black vrs on ebay, xenons, sunroof, parking sensors, cruise control, heated seats etc at a pretty good price :)

Hmmm - That's quite nice. It looks to have every extra bar the sat nav (mine has the full Sat Nav incl. maxidot).

i bought a 05 fabia vrs 33k xenons, reversing sensors and cruise control 2 weeks ago for £5400 but i had to travel to manchester for it and i am well happy with it:)

Well I don't think anything has changed there, so beware!

I think they did manage to get that site closed down though.

I'd say try and avoid!

Unfortunately, if you want a good, completely unmolested, car then the official dealers still tend to have the best stock. And they charge premium prices, but they do tend to be good cars.

I agree with that

I recently advertised my Fab on autotrader and ebay for £5000 but despite a few phone calls it didnt sell. I ended up selling it to a dealer for the full £5000
