dont know when but when i queried it that what i was told, if i changed or moded the car it would only be repalced with standard parts

Elephant had the standard parts clause in operation for the 3+ years i was with them on both the Astra and the first 6 months of owning the RS.

bloody theft, they rob ya when you first insure, rob ya when you make the car safer then rob ya if you need to claim. i HATE insurance companies like i hate most banks, all dirty thieves

Similar at Tesco's my son had 2 quotes for 2 models of Felicia 1 factory standard with alloys the other with factory standard steels, the quotes were exactly the same. He bought the model with Steels paid the price quoted, when he then fitted Skoda OE alloys as on the higher `spec'd model Tesco said there would be an extra charge, this was more than the alloys cost!! so he agreed with Tescos that the cover `would exclude the wheels in the result of a claim and kept the premium the same.

I don't use banks, better off with building soceities. I use Nationwide, I was shocked when I found out what banks charge :eek:
