Im I Missing Some Trim :(

Featured Replies

Started cleaning the car when i suddenly got a shock, or that i didnt notice before. I Have the sport model with the circle fog lamps, and they have there own housing units, which seems to be a bazel to secure the lamp, the housing and then the backing, my passengers side has the backing, but the drivers side doesnt, i didnt know if i was missing the part, or that they come standard like that, i called my dealer and they were adament that only the passengers side has a backing to it, but the drivers side you can put your hand right threw

really would be intrested if anyone with a sport can check it out as well, dont know if its just me being blind and never noticing it before

thanks guys

don't panic, you're car isn't mssing anything. This is excactly how it should be. Mine is exactly the same. The 3 and sport have the same layout for the round fogs. I went through the same feeling and went to look at another at the showroom to satisfy my curiosity:)

Is normal, I think it's to let air into the engine area!? Could be wrong about that bit though.

thank god for that, i feel so stupid i clean the car like every week and never noticed it at all

I asked the same question "Towing eye cover or not?" earlier about the standard Fabia II and got no answer. Phone call to dealer said they're all like that.

This is penny pinching in the extreme - an towing eye thread exposed to full on road dirt / spray etc is not a good idea IMO.

It's the same with the MKI, The purpose is to allow airflow to the intercooler

shame you cant cover it up or something, dont see the "airflow" bit seems quite restrictive!

The closed one (passengers side in the UK) also protects the horn from splash water ;)
