Damo's new car aka Blue Thunder lol.

Featured Replies

As everyone seems to be naming there Race blue cars, might as well christen mine Blue Thunder :D

Anyway its a 2006 Octavia vRS TFSi

35k with FSSH

Maxidot

Cruise

Dual Zone A/C

Extra airbags

E/W x4

Jumbo Box

All the usual comforts/spec

As some of you may know, Its my second Blue vRS TFSi

What can I say, I missed it too much :o

Having only owned the car a few weeks, I have had to spend a fair bit on it, as it needed Servicing, Mot, Tax, Brake pads and my insurance is due.

Oh, it needs new tyres all round as well :(

That's not left much money to spend on mods, but so far I have upgraded to EBC Redstuff pads (Marmite choice I know, but they were cheap enough off Ben aka Shark90 that I can swap if I dont like them)

PiperX replacement panel airfilter which was a b/day present off Dave aka Waveydavey, cheers fella

Neuspeed Shortshifter, bought off Bruce aka Uncle Bulgaria.

One of the best mods you can do IMHO, I bl00dy love it!

Every gear change is a pleasure, a little flick off the wrist and so positive into every gear in an instant.

Heartily recommended for anyone who hasn't got one

Forge Adjustable BOV bought off Carl aka Mater.

I know I know, a bit boy racer, but I love the sound :o

Plus coupled with my shortshifter it will be like driving a rally car

Skoda Motorsport stickers bought off KTP.

I have them on the front doors low down.

Again marmite I guess, but in the flesh they do look good against the blue paint.

And the obligatory Briskoda stickers, one above the headlight and one on the rear bumper centrally.

Here are a few pics after a 14 hour detailing session a couple of weeks back. (Sorry its pretty much like every other blue vrs... for now :D)

Comments/opinions as always welcome, good or bad :D

Cheers

Damian

Tidy :)

Lookin' good! Are you going to bring it to the meet on Tuesday??

Awfull, Race Blue cars are just too common......

Seriously that is looking smart, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Just curious as to which tyres you're gonna put on. I'm thinking Toyo T1-R at the momment.

Oh and I'm thinking of something along the sticker front which might reduce your marmite effect, or add to it.......interested?

@Shark90 I would love to come, but my mums in Canada visiting my brother and my wifes a driving instructor who works late, so I have all 3 kids to look after.

I will definitely come to one soon I promise

@Capt. Scarlet, What do you have in mind?

Re:tyres, I only have the 17" Zeniths atm, and they wont be on long enough to warrant expensive tyres :D

@ All Cheers for all the comments :)

Very tidy looking car this one... You should have seen his face when he called round at ours the day he had the short shifter fitted he was like a kid on xmas morning. :D

The decals really do look the part when seen in the flesh too.

If only you'd kept the BBS's off the red one mate they would have looked spot on on this one.

Cheers

Dave.

Sssssssh Dave, you'll make him cry if you mention his old wheels :P

Excellent idea Peter! Get onto KTP and he'll make you one up. That would look splendid for the National Meet

I'm perfectly well mate, hows the family?

The Bora is poorly at the moment thanks to an unlicenced man from nigeria driving into it...

As for keeping the car will believe it when I see it!

Nice motor Damo and I have noticed that your old Red Octy is up for sale on DW or am I mistaken?

  • Author

@ Al, The family is well thanks for asking :)

Sorry to hear about the Bora, hope you get it sorted mate.

@ Baker21, I don't know mate, first I have heard of it.

He has his name down for the national meet in that car anyway
