I use almost the same tactic, but i look, and slow down as it comes up the filler neck, so i dont lose any. Bit tight me.

ha ha ha

you guys kill me !!

Winter use it neat, i jus use cheap stuff for that. Summer i water it down, and use lemon smelling one, about 50/50 :D

I don't know about the Fabia II but my Furby vRS (without head light washers) uses exactly 2 litres when completely empty, however I normally fill it up when the warning light comes on as the beep is annoying.

I normally use the Halfords stuff, I've got a 5 litre undiluted bottle of it. I have used the double concentrated fluid from Halfords in the past.

i just top up with a little as i hardly ever have to use it. i just clean the windows by hand and save a little weight.

Have you noticed any increase in your acceleration or fuel consumption since using less screenwash?;)

IIRC 2.5 litres

Hey a fellow Bradfordian... only just noticed!

What did you mean then? What level of concentrate mix to use?

yes,how much water and screenwash.cause

If you have headlight washer sistem 4,5L but if you dont 2L

I know this is going to sound really banal but you need to be careful on what washer fluid you use.

The fan jets used can be a little sensitive to clogging in certain conditons with certain fluids so it's advisable only to use VW approved fluid. If you don't and the system fails, you might not have a warranty.

Just advice spilling over from a few previous threads.

This is very dependent on the make of screenwash used. Some are for summer 20:1 (100ml to 2 litres of water) some are 10:1 or 9:1 (100ml added to 1 litre water). I don't know the amount for OEM Skoda stuff. Have a look on the back of the bottle to find out the correct ratio for summer and/or winter use.

VW one for summer you can get away with a few caps (100-250ml) in a 5L tank although obviously you need to go stronger than this for winter use.

actually 2 litres of water does weigh quite a lot. every single gramme counts.

What 2kg for 2L of distilled water? Oh noes.

I think you're better off taking a dump before you drive ;):D

:+1: :D

Back to the original question, I use it at about 10:1 in the summer. So you don't need an awful lot in a normal 2L tank.

Steve

I just use halfords ready mixed stuff. Says VW compliant on the bottle.
