Sticker "Ghosting" on Rear Window

Featured Replies

Hi all.

I had a sticker on the outside of my rear window a few months ago for a few weeks, but since removed it as I didn't like it.

However there is now some "ghosting" of where the sticker was, caused by lots of tiny little scratches in the glass, I am guessing this was caused by the stickers trapping grit then the wiper going over it.

I've had a good long go with Autoglym Glass Polish and its slightly better but not much.

Is there a more abrasive product I can try?

Jewellers Rouge will take out scratching, but don't use it on the windscreen as you are removing glass to get rid of the scratch.

any other tips?

Similar to Mark's above but a metal polish such as NXT will take a fine cut off glass.

Autosol works a treat on glass and perspex..

Just finished getting some deep scratches out of a new purchased vinyl record players lid which was attacked by a demented cat with extra long claws.
