wheel advice please

Featured Replies

hi, guys, i could do with some advice on wheels for my felicia pickup, i am hoping to put a set of bmw alloy wheels,(like bbs with the centre cap.)

the sizes are 195/65/14 i am not sure the offset, i also have a pickup for spares and it had bbs wheels with 205/50/15 and they dont seem to be causing any problems.

any advice welcome, thanks,john.:)

a 195/65/14 is going to have a bigger rolling dia. so your speedo will be out

Correct, but with the change in wheel size, it's only about 2mm, which is less than tread depth.

hi, do you reckon that the speedo would be out by much, and i take it theres not an easy way round it,cheers.

8.5% out, Speedo reads 70mph your actual speed will be 75.98mph

That should even out to the reading being about right, as the felly speedos read 10% fast anyway

I used to run 195/50 15s on my pickup, and the roling radius was actually less than the standard 165/80 13s

did your felicia run on the wheels without any bother like rubbing on the arches etc, and do you think its worth the risk putting them on.

its too good to miss, a set of bmw alloys with 2 new tyres and 2 legal tyres for £15 quid, thats why i was keen to use them.

No problems at all, loads of room, and they were 6.5j

Here is a pic of the wheels, now fitted to the teardrop caravan i built

Ah; I'd presumed 165/80s.
