Superb Exclusive

Featured Replies

I emailed Skoda info-line in May to ask about the launch date of the Combi (non-committal reply - 'probably this year') and the possibilty of an L&K version of the Superb, which I would love to see and later, buy. More wood, better leather, more toys, special finishes etc.

I was told that in the penultimate week of May a new spec for the Superb 'Exclusive', equivalent to L&K was issued to dealers. Does anyone know anything about this out there? I have been hunting fruitlessly on the web since for any details. Any more clues about the Combi release? All the pics so far seem to be just Photochops.

There were some photos posted on Slovak news server [1]. The photos are claimed to come from sighting the superb combi during test run in mid of June. There isn't too much to see as the combi is always covered by normal superb. You could see that the back lights are still masked and it is not clear what the final shape of those will be. If you play with the photos a bit you will be able to see that the lights actually continue also under what appears to be grey colour of the car on first sight. My guess is that they will be very close to current superb back lights shape.

As for the availability, they are supposed to be available in Czech Rep. in the September to November time frame. If the former date is true, you might be able to get them in the UK before the end of the year. If the latter is true ... don't know. Apparently test series of combi are already being made in Kvasiny (the fab where Skoda makes superb model).

sounds exactly like the current elegance spec ?

Sure, it is an Elegance with few extras ... but if you put all that together on top of the Elegance yourself you will pay about 800,- pounds more in comparison to what you get as default in the Exclusive. On the other hand if you don't want the Leather Glamour interior (mandatory in Exclusive) you can get all the other extras on top of Elegance and still save about 1000,- ... it's your choice :)

Officially, Skoda claims that the Exclusive have been created to satisfy what most of the Elegance customers opt for as an extras.

what extras are there over the UK spec elegance. i cant see what they are ?

I do not have the UK spec so I can't tell. For the Czech spec the differences (comparison to Elegance) are:

Interior - leather Emory or Glamour only.

Front seats have different shape then for other models.

The default disks/wheels are Themisto 7.5Jx18"

The metalic color

Knee airbag

TPM

4 shoulder multi functional steering wheel with the phone control buttons

GSM II set

10 speaker sound system

Heated front screen

Shades for the back and side windows
