Eeek I have a leak!!!

Featured Replies

My Dad got home and "suggests" that I sell my Favorit as theres a small leak in the windscreen. :(

Def not good as I'm planning a speaker upgrade with 6x9s on the shelf and 13cms in the doors plus fitting in the cig lighter.

There's prob a thread on here somewhere.

Has come up a good few times on here. Best cure is probably a new seal from a dealers and a handy man who can take the screen out and replace it with the new seal. Some bodge options exist including some stuff you can get which you put around the seal, a brand I recall is Captain Tolley's creeping crack cure. Another bodge option is black automotive silicone sealant stuff.

Mastic is far better than silicon around windscreen rubbers but a little messier to use.
